Allow me to congratulate you personally and on behalf of the citizens of the Czech Republic upon your inauguration as the 12th Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. I am confident that under your guidance and leadership the NATO will pursue effective ways to address the countless challenges we are facing today. 

Your mission will not be easy, but let me assure you that the Czech Republic, as an active and trusted ally, will stand by your side to make the Alliance an even stronger and more effective organization, capable of safeguarding the security in the Euro-Atlantic area throughout the 21st century.

Dear Secretary General, let me wish you much success in your demanding function.
